After contacting the District Administrator, Ms. Nancy Nguyen, I learned the following: The Erosion Control Shoreline Restoration is THE SAME EXPENSIVE PROJECT that was unanimously rejected during last year's public hearing. The Project has an estimated cost of $1,399,841.87 ( 1.4 million ). To finance this project, the administration seems to be planning to commit the district to a NEW 20-YEAR LOAN of $1,650,000 (almost 1.7 million ). This would lock the District into another 20-year loan, to be paid 10 years later than current District debt. In the letter to owners, the District Manager is choosing to communicate a lower barrier of entry for the same massive and expensive project, $325 per unit this year vs. last year’s $1,205 per unit. This makes the project seem less expensive and less concerning .
